Bob "Chappy" Chaplin was born on the Eastern Shore of New Jersey and has had waterfowling in his blood since day one.  He has chased ducks & geese from Maryland to Missouri and is soon to add Canada to that list, which also includes his home state of Ohio. His passion is waterfowling and it has become a life style more than a sport for him.  As one of the owners of First Flight Outfitters (FFO), based in Northern Ohio, he is committed to offering enjoyable and successful days in the field.  FFO is unique in that it really encourages youth involvement and you will often Chappy's own kids along for the hunt.  Chappy is also extremely active in the industry as a whole as a member of both the Avery and Zink Pro-Staffs; a member of DU for whom he has formerly served on two different committees; a committee member for Ohio's Waterfowlers' Boot Camp; and, a founding member of Ohio Waterfowler Association, which is a group dedicated to the preservation of land and opportunity for current & future hunters.  In his spare time, Chappy can be heard practicing for and calling in contests; training his dogs; driving around looking for more great spots; on the phone talking about great spots; or behind the camera filming for a variety of videos including Zink's 24/7 and the D3 series.
