Jason has attempted to spend as much time outdoors as possible since childhood.  His passion for bird hunting, dogs and guns made for waterfowl hunting to be an ultimate pleasure.  His quest for the hunt is an attractive spread of decoys, birds cupped and committed, a solid shot, and a straight retrieve.  Realizing however duck hunting usually has it's own quest.  Jason is a retired Deputy Sheriff from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.  His career has consisted of the position of Firearms Training Coordinator and Entry Team Leader for the Sheriff's SWAT Unit for which he spent 15 years.  Jason is also a Retired Master Sergeant from the US Army Reserve and NY National Guard after 21 years.  He now co-owns The Finger Lakes Training Team where personal coaching in defense, firearms, and functional fitness is their expertise.  Jason's passion for guns continues as a waterfowler, comparing their differences, their functionality for the hunt, and the results on waterfowl.  When not hunting, you can find Jason training and teaching, or spending time at church with his family.
