Welcome to Ducks, Dogs and Decoys
Tripp Carraway
Virginia

Growing up on the muddy banks of the James River in Hopewell, VA, Tripp spent countless hours watching geese and training dogs with his father Butch. At the age of eight he began hunting with his dad almost every weekend. At the age of ten he shot his very first goose which happened to be double banded. He was hooked!  He and his father did not realize it at the time but Tripp’s passion for waterfowling started that day.

Some of Tripp’s fondest memories are of sitting in his back yard during the October full moon and listening to all the migratory birds moving in. His father was lucky enough to be in one of the most elite goose clubs in VA and Tripp spent almost every Saturday in a pit blind learning about goose hunting, and life in general, from his dad and dad’s hunting buddies.

In 2002 Tripp graduated from Hopewell High School and left for Chowan College in Murfreesboro, NC. His biggest concern in leaving for college was the fear that he could not survive a season without hunting. Little did he know that Murfreesboro was also hunting country. He was lucky enough to meet the owner of Tall Cotton Hunting Preserve, E. R. Evans, who gave him the opportunity to guide and hunt everyday. Tripp learned a lot about running a preserve, upland, deer, and bear hunting while in Murfreesboro. It was there that he learned everything he knows about swan hunting.
Moving back home after college, Tripp began working at a local sporting goods store where he was the waterfowl manager. That same year he went to the World’s Goose Calling Championship at Easton, MD where he met Jeff Foiles the owner of Foiles Migrator’s. After a weekend spent with Jeff and his staff, Jeff extended an invitation for him to join his staff and Tripp quickly accepted. He has been with Jeff for four years now and looking forward to many more. In 2008 after talking with some buddies in the industry Tripp was given the opportunity to be a part of the new and exciting Dakota Decoy Company.  He is currently a member of the Xtreme Team for Dakota Decoys.

In the fall of 2007, with lots of encouragement from his friends, Tripp decided to launch KillinTime Outdoors! He is living his life long dream of hunting all across the US and Canada hoping to bring back exciting and informative video footage from all over for D3tv.

Tripp is really excited to be working with Jeff Coats, Tim Furness and the Pit Crew of D3 tv and would like to thank them for this awesome opportunity!
